Don Herbert is one of those rare people that really shouldn't have died. He shouldn't have gotten cancer. He probably wasn't a saint (bombing runs in WWII suggests that people died), but he was a fine human being who kept plugging away at his dreams until he couldn't anymore.
The world needs more of that. And his dream was making the world smarter.
I'm gonna go cry.

I can't count the number of ways this sucks. I defy anyone to find someone under the age of 40 (or more) that didn't learn something of benefit from Mr. Wizard.
